Lessons From Auschwitz

Education Coordinator

The Holocaust Educational Trust works to educate young people from all backgrounds about the Holocaust and the important lessons to be learned for today.

We are currently recruiting an Education Coordinator to work primarily on our groundbreaking Lessons from Auschwitz (LFA) Project, a four-part course for 16-18 year old students.

LFA Project participants have the opportunity to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau, hear the testimony of a Holocaust Survivor, and pass on the lessons they learn about the contemporary relevance of the Holocaust to their peers. The course was launched in 1999; in 2006 we received a Government grant to massively expand its capacity; and in 2008, we began a partnership with the University of Hull to award undergraduate credit to course participants.

The Education Coordinator will assist in preparation, delivery and follow-up responsibilities for this course. Responsibilities include: contributing to the development of educational content; leading large and small group seminar sessions; moderating online educational forums; and recruiting and training freelance Educators.
