Terms & Conditions
- All students participating in the programme must be between 16-18 years of age and studying at an educational institute with the equivalent of a sixth form.
- The programme consists of a one-day visit to Kraków and Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial, with an Orientation Seminar before the visit, and a Follow-up Seminar after the visit.
- Shortly before the programme starts, all participants will be sent a Participant Pack. Included in this will be a Code of Conduct information sheet. Participants will be expected to adhere to this Code of Conduct at all times during the programme. If in our opinion or the opinion of any airline pilot or other person in authority you are behaving in a way which will cause or be likely to cause danger or distress to others, or damage property, participation in the programme may be ended. If this happens, the participant will not be entitled to any refund.
- All participants will need a passport for the visit to Poland. It must be valid for one month after the date of your proposed visit to that country. For insurance purposes a photocopy of the photo page of your passport must be sent to the Holocaust Educational Trust prior to the visit. If your passport is not an EU passport, you may need a visa to enter Poland. It is your responsibility to check any visa requirements. If you are refused passage by the airline, and/or entry/exit to or from Poland, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred.
- You must also hold a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). This can be obtained at www.ehic.org.uk The group will also be covered by a travel insurance policy which will be organised by The Holocaust Educational Trust prior to the trip. The cost is included in the registration fee.
- Transfer to and from the seminars, and to and from UK airports are participants' individual responsibility and will be at their expense.
- The flight to Kraków and visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial is operated by Peltours (U.K.) Ltd, a licensed travel operator (ATOL 0481). All flights, timings and itinerary may be subject to change at short notice. Peltours will when possible let participants know of time alterations or delays to flights, but does not accept any liability for cancellations or delays in flight departures.
- Each participant's Registration Form must be accompanied by a completed Medical Form, in which all relevant medical information, dietary and additional requirements must be provided.
- Data from Registration and Medical Forms, including emergency contact details, passport details and medical information, may be transferred to associated organisations for health and safety purposes.
